Winner announced for 2021 West Country Dairy Awards
Andrew Vickery, Head of Rural at Old Mill, was honoured to be part of the West County Dairy Awards (WCDA) judging panel to help decide which of the 2021 finalists would become the overall winner and receive £2,000 in grant money to spend on dairy related training and education.
The winner was Max Dunford, aged 20, from Shepton Mallet and studying Agriculture at Newcastle University, he took the top prize of £2000. Max won for his impressive plans for the future and knowledge of share-farming as well as his proactive work experience over the years.
In addition to Max, the other four finalists receiving £1,000 each were: Isobel Bennett of Thorn in Somerset, Gethin Fletcher Bodmin, Cornwall, Imogen Old, Holsworthy, Devon and Katie Wreford Truro, Cornwall.
