Chris Watts is a Tax Director at Old Mill, based across the Exeter and Yeovil offices. He advises private clients, business owners and rural clients on complex tax matters, helping them manage and protect their wealth and plan for the future. Chris has particular experience supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and investigations, including complex civil and criminal fraud cases. He also serves as a Director of Old Mill Trust Corporation.

With more than 25 years of experience, Chris specialises in inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax planning and HMRC enquiries and disputes. A Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Chris takes the time to understand each client’s wider circumstances and objectives before developing practical, tax-efficient strategies. His combination of technical expertise and pragmatic approach enables him to guide clients through difficult or sensitive tax matters while keeping their longer-term personal and business objectives in view.
