Forensic Accounting Overview

Forensic accountants combine accounting, auditing and investigative skills with commercial and industry experience, to advise on the financial aspects of legal and commercial disputes, secure evidence, and in many cases present that evidence at trial.

Old Mill’s highly experienced forensic accountancy team provides expert witness and determination and advisery services in disputes relating to quantum, business valuation and accounting issues.

Our wealth of expertise in the food and agriculture industries means that many of our cases relate to farming, food and associated businesses. We often work alongside specialist agricultural litigators, but the team also work directly with claimants or defendants, loss adjusters, and other insurance professionals.

Cases on which we regularly provide forensic accounting services include:

  • commercial disputes including contaminated feedstuffs, diseased animals, faulty farm machinery/equipment, crop damage, and professional negligence
  • landlord and tenant disputes, including succession applications
  • banking disputes
  • partnership and shareholder disputes
  • divorce.

To chat to us about your plans, get in touch with us or make an appointment with one of our forensic accounting specialists at one of our offices in Exeter, Wells, Chippenham and Yeovil.

I greatly value the prompt, personalised service.
