Partner, Head of Tax

David Maslen is Head of Tax at Old Mill, based in Yeovil, and leads the firm’s specialist tax team. As Client Service Team Head, he is responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex tax advisory and compliance work, ensuring clients receive high-quality, commercially focused advice. Alongside his leadership responsibilities, David is a Tax Partner, working closely with owner-managed businesses and their shareholders to help them make informed decisions and achieve their long-term objectives.

David specialises in corporate tax, family succession planning, exit strategies and Family Investment Companies. He advises owner-managed businesses and family shareholders on a wide range of tax and wealth planning matters, helping them navigate change, protect value and plan for the future. Combining deep technical expertise with a practical and personable approach, he is committed to delivering advice that makes a meaningful difference to clients.
